Hey, kenny. I think I have your solution. I've had this exact problem with some of my systems at work (ASUS P2L97 boards, no less). There are two possibilities: 1) Your system has received a physical shock causing the CPU to become misaligned. Remove and reseat the CPU (including any support for the cooling element). Try this a couple of times until it works. 2) Your power supply is hosed. Replacement with a new ATX power supply will fix this. I would recommend that you try to borrow one first. I have had these exat symptoms before, and and it tends to be the former, but I have had a case of the latter. Good luck. Michael W.
