[PLUG] linux based map programs

Hello,
I have no plans for tommorrow and I have a laptop that I want to install RH
6.0 on. This is no news. The main purpose for this is I would like to try to
link my GPS into a Linux based map program just for the hell of it. Does
anyone know of a Linux based map program that will allow me to link my GPS
into it?
