If you're talking about console, then wuftpd is the canonical ftp
daemon... it should be included in your distro, and setup should entail
uncommenting the appropriate line in your /etc/inetd.conf (if
applicable). Be sure, also, to populate the /etc/hosts.allow and
hosts.deny with appropriate values... (man tcpd)
