My school does have M$ Proxy Server running, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that it acts as a firewall. I just can't understand why some of you can ping it while others are having no luck.

I can ping and traceroute fine to those IPs.
Doing a portscan shows absolutely nothing open.
I would definitely say they have some type of firewall in place.
