Anybody else out there running Alpha Linux? I've finally found time to install Alpha Linux on my XP1000. It's now dual-booted with Tru64 Unix. SuSE 6.3 finally installs fairly easily, directly from the CD. "We don't need no stinkin floppies!" (finally.) The most fun has been trying to make sense out of Linux's interpretation of disklabels. Seems that SuSE's documentation has a bad habit of flipping back and forth between "partion" meaning "DOS partition" and meaning "UNIX partition"... not good. My next quest is double edged -- first to obtainsupport for the "PowerStorm" graphics card (aka Integraph aka Evans & Southerland). Second, and possibly somewhat more quixotic -- to get Darwin "64 bit clean" and running on the Alpha. (both Tru64 and Darwin share the same Mach kernel.) -- www.tru64unix.compaq.com www.tru64.org comp.unix.tru64 T.T.F.N. William H.
