[PLUG] SAMBA Problems.....

Greetings all!
I have a few questions regarding SAMBA. I had my system up and running
for 18 days strait without a reboot... when I rebooted it today to add some
permissions and play around with something unrelated to SAMBA, the service
did not come back up.
It says in SWAT and when I run the command from a console that there is a
lock in
/var/lock/samba/STATUS..LCK
There is NO file in there that matchs this.
Does anyone know what is wrong? :)
I would pull my hair out if I had any...
