One issue that I can forsee with this is that the engineering buildings lock over the weekend, so you need to recruit Penn students to open doors with their PennCards. We have encountered this problem before when hosting events from the DP Speakers Series. However, I'm sure that their would be interest for this, and we certainly have large lecture halls where power strips can be plugged in, and internet connections poached. There was at one time an UNPLUG (UPenn Linux Users Group) and we tried to run an installfest on campus, but we were unable to generate enough interest (bad timing). The Dining Philosophers would be happy to help if you want to run it somewhere on the Penn Campus, and as long as we don't use Wharton buildings, there shouldn't be any charges. Our president is still in Philly, but most of the board and our members are home for the summer. So, Nicolai, feel free to drop the board a line at <dpexec@seas.upenn.edu>, and we can at the least advertise it to our members. -kevin -- Kevin Falcone <kevinfal@seas.upenn.edu> When my pop grows a culture, I throw it away undrunk. --Tom Christiansen <372cdf8c@cs.colorado.edu> ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://plug.nothinbut.net Announcements - http://lists.nothinbut.net/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.nothinbut.net/mail/listinfo/plug
