Re: [PLUG] reverse dns issues for ISP?

Hi M. Jackson,

Many ISPs will refuse to publish a reverse (IN-ADDR.ARPA) entry
for a domain name that is not registered to the ISP's name servers.
This policy makes some sense, since unless the ISP controls both
the forward and reverse lookups, then the ISP has no way to ensure
that forward and reverse lookups always match.

I work at an ISP (dca.net), and we will publish pretty much whatever
you want for your in-addr.arpa lookup for customers with static
addresses (e.g. DSL customers).
