I've upgraded my collection of kernel patches to suit kernel 2.2.17. The patch is available from: http://www.jasons.org/megapatch/ The patch includes: IDE Patches - http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/hedrick/ - Provides UDMA66 support, as well as better performance on ATA33 drives. ReiserFS - http://devlinux.com/pub/namesys/ - A journaled file system. Very fast and stable. I run my / filesystem on reiserfs. USB Backport - http://www.suse.cz/development/usb-backport/ - Go ahead, use those USB devices... AGP GART - http://utah-glx.sourceforge.net/gart/ - Support for fast AGP writes on certain chipsets. Useful (IMHO) when building the NVIDIA XFree 4.0.x kernel module for the NVIDIA DRI/GLX driver, available from: ftp://ftp1.detonator.nvidia.com/pub/drivers/english/XFree86_40/ -- Jason Costomiris <>< | Technologist, geek, human. jcostom {at} jasons {dot} org | http://www.jasons.org/ ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
