The standard means for configuration on a Win32 system (Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000) is via a graphical interface. The presence of .ini files is a holdover for Win16 compatability. The Registry is hardly a "plaintext file", and it is the LAST place you want to configure something. Michael W.
