You don't need a dual-processor motherboard to upgrade the CPU. I've upgraded my mobo from a PII-233 to a PII-350 to a current PIII-550. You just need a decent mobo, that's all. Something with flash BIOS upgrades, you can can upgrade the BIOS to take advantage of later processors. Mine is an Asus P2B - the BIOS upgrades let me move from a PII to a PIII. Same for RAM - you'll probably have to remove the current DIMM (say a 64M) and replace with a higher density (like a 256M). how much RAM your mobo supports is a function of your mobo's design. Mine supports 768M; my girlfriends PII-350 based machine only supports 512M. But then, I have 3 DIMM slots, and she has only 2. -- *-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-* Michael Leone <mailto:mleone@joemagee.com> PGP Fingerprint: 0AA8 DC47 CB63 AE3F C739 6BF9 9AB4 1EF6 5AA5 BCDF -- ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
