OK, so I decided to finally get around to installing KDE2, after the glowing recommendation it got at the last meeting. So I downloaded all 25 RPMs from sourceforge. And I went to install them - using "rpm -ivh *.rpm", as the web site docs suggest. and as was mentioned at the meetings. And got 4,723,367 warnings about conficting versions, between files in the new RPMs and the old RPMS. :-( So what did I do wrong? I'm presuming an option on the RPM install line. I don't REALLY have to UNINSTALL all the v 1.1.2 KDE RPMs (and QT) before I can install KDE2, do I? -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ Michael J.
