from our local linux group, this one might be of interest to you... ----- Forwarded message from Tom Stepleton <tss@sccs.swarthmore.edu> ----- In the mid-90s, Kevin Mitnick was a prolific cracker who infiltrated many systems. He was eventually caught and, depending on your interpretation of the ruling, unfairly made an example of. Even today he is forbidden from pursuing a job in computers - for a while, maybe even now, he was forbidden from using them at all. Tsutomu Shimomura, the government-hired investigator who finally got Mitnick in 1995, recorded some of his evil telnet sessions. Now you can watch those recordings and brush up on your 'leet hacker skillz! See http://www.kuro5hin.org/?op=displaystory;sid=2000/12/18/175211/32 for details. --Tom +-----------+-------------------------+ ____ | Stepleton | tss@sccs.swarthmore.edu |>-------|\__/_/__ +-----------+-------------------------+ \________} ----- End forwarded message ----- [greetings from the heart of the sun]# echo madduck@!#:1:s@\@@@.net -- every nonzero finite dimensional inner product space has an orthonormal basis. it makes sense, when you don't think about it. ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
