...or not. Sorry, the man pages on my system say that smbmount takes
-U and -P, but if I try to use them it quickly complains about invalid
options. Dennis is correct; smbmount want the -o, but you still need
to have smbmnt suid root if users are going to use this command.
To restate :
smbmount //AMD450/C/ /var/tmp -o
username=Administrator,password=adminpassword
mount -t smbfs -o username=Administrator,password=adminpassword //AMD450/C/
/var/tmp
are equivalent.
