I wish to use the etherboot in a project I was working on, but I need some
clarification.
Etherboot is pretty cool!
Do I have to sit down at each machine an load a specific image onto the NIC's
ROM? Is there a better way to do this?
You can also boot from a specially prepared boot floppy (or CD).
Basically, I need to orchestrate a massive linux installation and make it as
simple as possible. Etherboot seems like what I want, but I would like to hear
some opinions.
The other option would be to setup one single machine,
ghost/image the drive and the blast that image onto every other
machine. There are tools that can even do this automatically on the
network.
