The Orb drive is self-terminated; the tape drive is not. It uses one of those 11-pin resitor terminators plugged into a slot on one of the control cards of the tape drive itself. I shall have to scrounge one up (or a reasonable substitute) somehow. If anyone might have one they can spare, I'd appreciate it. It's a Seagate/IBM 4326 DDS2 DAT drive. Thanx to everyone for the suggestions. -- -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- Version: 3.1 GIT/MU/CS/PA d s:++ a C++ UA$ P+++ L++>++++ E W++ N++ o-- K w--- O- M+ V-- PS+ PE Y+ PGP+ t+ 5-- X- R* !tv b++ DI++ D+ G++ e+ h--- r+++ y++++ -----END GEEK CODE BLOCK------- For translation: http://www.kluge.net/ungeek.html ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
