It uses one of those 11-pin resitor
terminators plugged into a slot on one of the control cards of the tape drive
itself.  I shall have to scrounge one up (or a reasonable substitute) somehow.

I am sure I have a few lying around for all my SCSI devices for my Mac OS machines (we've been doing SCSI for years ;).
