Most of the hardware sites these days publish Value & High-end PC guides. I think Ars was the first that I remember. www.anandtech.com has a good one as well, especially the value box. You can't beat pricewatch for information and great deals. I find you get the same deal at the PC show if you add the shipping to the pricewatch price. Ars Technica has some good information at http://arstechnica.com/guide/index.html (although their "budget box" weighs in at ~US$850). Pricewatch is a good place to look, too. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeff Abrahamson" <jeff@purple.com> Sent: Saturday, March 31, 2001 09:01 Subject: [PLUG] cheap boxes? really? > The news has been all aflurry the last year of various $200 - $300 > intel boxes running linux. Does anyone know how to buy such a thing? ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
