As a general rule,I'd say no newbie wants to use Lynx over a graphical
browser, especially (these days) for research. It makes it more
difficult for certain training/research things - like watching live
webcasts of seminars, or reading slides of a tutorial presentation that
are embedded in a web page, or examining the latest enhanced photos from
the Space Telescope.
