You use the "kgcc" compiler to make a kernel.

You can use the "regular" gcc to compile all *other* programs that will
be run on your box. And you should be able to copy those binaries you've
just compiled with "gcc" to another RH7 box, and they should work. 

Just never re-compile a kernel with "gcc"; always use "kgcc".
