Probably a hardware issue, I would guess. ps/2 Isn't really supposed to be hot-swap is it? I dont remember what it was.. but I was just reading something on some ps/2 device that specifically said to turn off the computer before plugging it in, and it didnt seem like a "people are so stupid so we gotta say this or they'll sue us" sort of thing. USB is hotswap, anybody know what else? sure, 9 times out of 10 you're not going to totally blow the chip/componets... but you never know. and in an unrelated-but-related story, if you haven't already read it, go read it and then go get yourself some hardware before they stop giving them away: http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=01/06/17/1521241&mode=thread And dont forget they now have USB cuecats, and those 'tv cables' which are basically just rca --> audio plug. -- msimons@slackware.com INFORMATION*MEDIA*PHOTOGRAPHY msimonsmail@yahoo.com http://www.slackware.com/~msimons to be constantly created again a home!
