In the sysutils package on Debian, there is a program called "memtest". It looks like what you're looking for. The documentation says that the programs in the package were downloaded from "sunsite.unc.edu:/pub/Linux and other sources". I'd try looking at Freshmeat; I got 4 results from http://freshmeat.net/search/?q=memtest -- two of which look like they'd be useful for you. -- Bill Jonas * bill@billjonas.com * http://www.billjonas.com/ "As we enjoy great advantages from the inventions of others, we should be glad of an opportunity to serve others by any invention of ours; and this we should do freely and generously." -- Benjamin Franklin ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
