Windows can do whats called a parallel install onto another partition. If you install over your Red Hat partition a clean copy of win2k, you should be able to mount/access your old windows partition as a normal local drive. From there simply copy the files you need to your new win2k partition and backup as needed. Hope that helps :-) - JP --- Sam Hunting <sam_hunting@yahoo.com> wrote: > Hi-- > > After about a month, my dual boot Windows 2000 > Professional/Red Hat 7.2 > Sony Viao laptop, when in Windows mode, gave me a > blue screen of death, > and when I rebooted, an "operating system not found" > message.
