Thanks, Bill, for the great explaination. It's nice knowing that something is being done about the problem. I am just amazed at the shear number of people who traverse the internet and fail to take adequate protection for their machines. But, it's truly disheartening when you see it on security related sites like OpenSSL and Netfilter. I assume you are trying to find out why virus scanning was disabled and to get it reactivated, no? Charles <snip> We don't control the server which hosts the mailing list and the web page. The resources are graciously provided by Nothinbut.net. (I wonder if that would be considered a PLUG for them...) I was under the impression that all mail to the list was getting virus scanned. I checked my personal archive, and it turns out that October 8 was the last day that happened. Apparently there was a configuration change on that day. (BTW, the headers to look for are X-Virus-Scanned and X-VirusScan.) <snip> ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
