You should take a look at Quanta for KDE. It has a great set of features and allows for FTP publishing to a website (not ssh, though :( ). All in all, it's the best HTML/XML editor for Linux, IMHO. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Fred K Ollinger" <follinge@sas.upenn.edu> To: "Bob Razler" <bob@razler.com> Cc: <plug@lists.phillylinux.org> Sent: Thursday, November 08, 2001 3:17 PM Subject: RE: [PLUG] Newbie : > Well, I am not looking to install FrontPage extensions, so I : > guess the only option is editing a page locally and then uploading it : > via FTP. : > : > Bob Razler : : I'm confused. You could use ssh and even remote X (sp?) to edit your page. : Or do you want to run frontpage? If this is the case, then you could use : samba if you are on the same network. However, if you are going to use : things like front page, I'd wonder if unix was the way to go. : : Fred : : : ______________________________________________________________________ : Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org : Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce : General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug : ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
