Ohhhhh yeah. I see many scans on a daily basis. Lord help those that connect without a properly configured firewall. You'll be damned if you connect a PC to AOL without a firewall (I saw over 300 scans the one time I had to connect to the internet using AOL while on the road). Internally, I have a home network of Windows machines. They all run BlackIce Defender in paranoid mode. It hasn't popped yet to indicate the badguys have succeeded in getting to my home network. Now, I must say I NAT my traffic. There is a way in...but very tightly controlled. Which reminds me... Given the choice, I would go with cable or anything other than Verison/DirectTV DSL. ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
