RE: [PLUG] PDF read/write

The win/mac versions of Acrobat make it easy to insert form fields into such documents. I've been looking for a Linux tool that offers similar functionality.

I think i was a little unclear. the forms are online - but they aren't
"online forms"

they are PDF files, that you download and printout and fillin and mail (ie:
college application)

they aren't offered as fill-in forms on the web.

I didn't want to have to handwrite these application forms, and didn't want
to dig up a typewriter.

but the forms are really just plain PDF representation of paper forms.

So - is there any way then?

anyone know if there is free software which will allow you to open a

Nope, nothing that saves - sorry! (see other message for comments)

for example, i want to fill out some online forms
that are in pdf, but don't want to bust out the typewriter and my
handwriting stinks.

So then why do you need saving? Fill and print from Acrobat Reader!
