There is a new one in the works for KDE 3.0, but it is behind schedule and 
will ship separate of KDE.  I know that dosent help you currently but  we 
have a few other XML editors out there currently (http://apps.kde.com).

I think there is also a plugin for Kate out there.  I remember reading about 
it on the list but if you do a goggle search for XML KDE and Kate you should 
get a hit or two.
