I pay 7 cents per minute billed in 6 second increments, which is fairly
typical.

Try OPEX long distance http://www.opexld.com for a rate of $0.0490 per minute billed in one minute increments. I have a bill with 62 minutes of calls for $3.04. Will all charges included the total is $5.57.

thanks, but my first 50 minute are free. Also, beware 1 minute increment billing, where 65 seconds equal 2 minutes. It adds up.

irrelevant really, though. My point was that long distance is cheap compared to local toll calls.

unfortunately, I am more often solicited for long distance from Verizon than local from others.

ATL, is anyone using Teligent for local calls & internet access?
