I have used progeny as a debian woody installer: www.progeny.com Their web site tells how to upgrade. Usually, you should put new sources, in /etc/apt/sources list, but remove old ones: do: apt-get update apt-get install apt apt-get dist-upgrade apt-get -f install Repeat the last two until you have no dep troubles. I'm sure that people have done this before: search at www.debianplanet.net BEFORE you start to figure out what not to do. There may be a few tweaks you need to perform to get everything working exactly right.
