[PLUG] XFS w/kernel 2.4.17?

I thought I'd give the XFS filesystem a spin; I have a spare partition
available. I'm using a generic kernel 2.4.17 on Mandrake 8.1. The XFS
website (http://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/102_release.html) says that the
latest kernel patch is for kernel 2.4.14.

Anybody using this patch w/2.4.17? The only other kernel patches I'm
using are the Win4Lin ones (which are supposed to work fine with XFS),
and the DevFS root fix patch.
