I was thinking about this recently too. If you want to find something
really cheap, get some utility shelves at a home improvement store (Home
Depot, or whatever). I bought some for 25-40 bucks to hold boxes in a
storage room. They aren't pretty, but I don't see why they couldn't be
used to hold computer equipment.
