If anybody has questions about the 4K page errata, feel free to ask me. For the simple answer, it does not affect current (Athlon MP/XP/4 [Palomino] and Duron 1GHz+ [Morgan]) CPUs. The Tbird Athlons, the older Durons, and the Slot versions all had the bug in question. The workaround, appending mem=nopentium into your boot, affects memory handling in quite a few ways. Even if your CPU is not affected by the 4K page bug, the workaround just might help you out anyway. - Rich 'Forge' Mingin -----Original Message----- From: plug-admin@lists.phillylinux.org [mailto:plug-admin@lists.phillylinux.org] On Behalf Of Jim Foster Sent: March 7, 2002 11:45 To: plug@lists.phillylinux.org Subject: [PLUG] AMD Memory Bug Someone at last night's meeting was asking about a memory bug on AMD systems.
