-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Heh, I just figured out what the problem was. The morons who designed the case decided to have the main heatsink force air through this mesh that is on the inside of the heatsink. Well it got gummed up with so much lint and dust that the fan was not cooling the CPU enough. Thanks to sensors I was able to deduce that this was the problem, the Core temp was about 58 C when the system would start to flake out. Now that the heatsink is clean the system hovers arround 45C under heavy load. Thanks all for the hints on the memory thing. FYI to turn off the memory bug in the athlon you should pass: mem=nopentium in your lilo options. This is only a workarround, and it basicly saves you from haveing to upgrade your kernel.
