Sorry to hear about the ticket. I use 202 every day of the work week and I see local cops out there all the time. Fight the ticket - its 5 dollars to request a hearing (if I remember correctly) and all you'll be out is the money and your time. Most officers are understanding and willing to cut a break its nothing personal more often than not. Talk to the officer before going into the hearing and if you're willing, offer to plead guilty, pay the fine in exchange for not getting the points. The township gets their revenue, you don't get the insurance spike.
