That'll edit the config file, all right. Will it tell me things like modelines, resolutions, etc, to put INTO the file? No, I didn't think so. As it happened, I just blew it all away, and reinstalled the potato-based one from the CD. This is why I never used Debian on a day-to-day basis - too much fighting with it. I fight computers all day at work; I prefer to come home and minimize the fighting. Still, I placed an order for the retail version of Libranet, which has (supposedly) the versions of stuff I want, along with support. A case of giving back what I can. What the hell - it ain't that much money, and who knows? Maybe the thing will work right. ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
