I sent this into SuSe support but I will give it a shot here.. So far I love my SuSe 7.3 install except for one annoying problem. When I try to shutdown the system from KDE it often locks up. I logout of KDE return to the opening graphic login screen. Select shutdown and if it is going to hang the screen goes blank and nothing. No virtuals, just dead. If I do an init 3 from a root window in KDE it seems to exit OK and gives me back a login. I guess I could live with this but it would be nice if it worked. This is also not a good way to exit KDE. I don't think closing things are saved. I can imagine this would be a hard one to find unless it is a known problem.
