Re: [PLUG] Moveing large files

My first thought is to "chunk" the file into smaller parts, which leads to my first question: How does one chunk a 7gig file? WinZip is able to cause a file to span multiple disks based on disk size.

Second thought: do a backup and restore over the network. That's a common event.

I have a 7gig file that I need to move across the network. NOTHING will allow me to to move it. scp and ftp say they cannot recognise the file. and NFS only can do 2gig files afaik.

Can anyone give me a hint as how to move this bugger?
