John, I am not the one to ask if something like this would be in demand, if I were head of a school district, I would certainly have something like this written however, that is just me, I am a huge believer in web applications. If you decide you would like to take on this project and need a programmer, I'd be glad to discuss this with you in further detail. I am currently attending college for computer science, however I am mostly self taught, I started in middle school, and I've been doing contract projects for web hosting companies, and ISP's since high school. Let me know if there is an interest.
