some scsi cards that support raid hide this from the os (i think) so to the os it looks like 1 drive (but the card knows better). Some don't. I don't know all of the finer points of SCSI raid as I don't have the opportunity to use it too often (or any raid for that matter). Best bet is to look up what the card manufacterer says you should do, then proceed from there. -brad --- Everybody loves to love you when you're far away -- Better than Ezra, At the Stars -----Original Message----- From: plug-admin@lists.phillylinux.org [mailto:plug-admin@lists.phillylinux.org]On Behalf Of Oliver Crenshaw Sr Sent: Tuesday, 28 May 2002 10:15 PM To: plug@lists.phillylinux.org Subject: [PLUG] Linux Raid I have a SCSI server with SCSI raid a perc 2c I think I installed RED HAT 6.2 and partitioned the hard drive, in disk druid you have a choice of Linux native etc but there is also a choice for Linux Raid should I chose this? thanks vulkan41 _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
