Ongoing costs? $39.95/month from Verizon for the line; $10 month to 
DCA as ISP. Yes, I believe you can use anybody as ISP; I was 
considering snip.net (out of New Jersey) before settling on DCA.

Rebecca mentioned some unseemly large transfer fee; I don't recall 
paying this (or as large a fee), but I did mine 2 years ago now. 
There used to be DCA employees on this list; dunno if Andrew White is 
still an employee, or still on this list.
