Are those the power supplies with the two extra cables?

I have a "PowMax" (that might explain the trouble) 350W P4 power supply. 
It feels cooler now that I've moved the case fan from the front to the 
back, just behind the CPU.

I agree.  My entire case was only $40 including the power supply.  This 
is the first time that a power supply blew out on me.  In the past, it 
was just a matter of the fan wearing out.  In any "case", always do a 
24-hour burn-in.
