| I am seeing a growing number of email addresses with spaces in them. I | always though that was not legal?? It makes it difficult because many | mailers will not allow it or it has to be quoted. The ones I have seen are | mostly AOL. RFC 822[1] permits all characters except control characters, space characters, and the characters ()<>[]@,;:\" in the local part of an email address (on the left of the @). so, yes, spaces are not "legal".
