ah, found something that might help. This is from voicestream, http://orders.voicestream.com/phones/PocketPC_Details.cfm Basically, a cell phone modem for a computer without the cell phone. See http://orders.voicestream.com/phones/index.cfm? for more info. Here is what it looks like verizon has, in terms of connectivity from pc -> mobile phone http://www.verizonwireless.com/ics/plsql/accessory_mart.accessories?p_hdr_id =68176927&p_make=Mobile%20Office&p_model=Products but, not for your phone. Ah, here it is http://www.verizonwireless.com/ics/plsql/pf_start.intro and go down to the "Sierra Wireless Aircard 555" and it says -- --------------------------- Provides connectivity to the Verizon Wireless Express Network Enjoy faster access to email and full Web browsing Insert Aircard 555 in your laptop or pocket PC and you're ready to go! Operating Systems: Windows 95 (OSR 2 or higher), 98, NT 4.0, 2000, MC, XP, PPC2000, PPC2002, HPC2000 --------------------------- -- along with other stuff. But, the cost is about $300. You might want to give verizon a call on monday and see what they'd be willing to work out. this might be a solution. -brad --- Everybody loves to love you when you're far away -- Better than Ezra, At the Stars -----Original Message----- From: plug-admin@lists.phillylinux.org [mailto:plug-admin@lists.phillylinux.org]On Behalf Of Paul Sent: Sunday, 30 June 2002 4:57 PM To: plug@lists.phillylinux.org Subject: Re: [PLUG] Through cell phone to Internet What did it say? >according to this web site > >http://www.audiovox.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ExecMacro/product_mainpage.d2w/i n >put?prrfnbr=59 > >your answer is no. > ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
