Tell it to start with a blank screen. The hard way would be to remove the route to the Internet. I had this problem when I was doing Internet connection sharing. Even when the routing PC was down Navigator still tried to resolve site names. At the time I made a script to delete the route to the Internet. This isn't a problem when using PPP because the route changes when you're connected. When I first open Netscape (4.72) Navigator offline, it tries to open a webpage. While it is doing this, the screen freezes and I can do nothing for a couple of minutes while it gets around to posting the "cannot find server" error message. Is there a clean way to change this routine ?
