CGI is still enabled and functioning, but *your scripts* won't work. I know that Apache can support FrontPage extensions through a loadable module or something, but I don't know much about it or how well it works. Some of the hits from <http://www.google.com/search?q=apache+frontpage+extensions> look interesting. As to the next question, I don't know why they're not supporting this.
