I'm not Fred, but here's mine:

$ ls -l /lib/libdb*
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           15 Aug 13 13:30 /lib/libdb.so.2 -> libdb1-2.2.5.so
-rw-r--r--    1 root     root       233488 Apr 18 14:35 /lib/libdb.so.3
-rw-r--r--    1 root     root        49828 Aug  1 23:36 /lib/libdb1-2.2.5.so
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           15 Aug 13 13:30 /lib/libdb1.so.2 -> libdb1-2.2.5.so
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           15 Jul 12 13:01 /lib/libdb2.so.2 -> libdb2.so.2.7.7
-rw-r--r--    1 root     root       262812 Apr 18 14:35 /lib/libdb2.so.2.7.7
$ dpkg -S /lib/libdb*
libc6: /lib/libdb.so.2
libdb2: /lib/libdb.so.3
libc6: /lib/libdb1-2.2.5.so
libc6: /lib/libdb1.so.2
libdb2: /lib/libdb2.so.2
libdb2: /lib/libdb2.so.2.7.7

Straight Debian, always been woody. Another i386 box which was upgraded
from potato to woody a few months ago has some very similar results.
Likewise a sparc machine upgraded to woody from potato; it only differs
in regard to the file sizes and times.
