Re: [PLUG] PC Camera

I don't dial out, but adding that in isn't to complicated if you're
already using your modem for a variety of things.

Very nice. I see you working? How do you get the browser to refresh the page automatically? What is the model of the camera you're using?

I want to use an old system (Pentium 100 or pre-Pentium) which, more than likely, will not have USB ports. It might end up with a 9-pin monochrome monitor, 33.6kbps modem, 560MB hard drive, 4x CD-ROM drive, floppy drive, and a compatible Webcam. I would like to run a version of Red Hat since that's what I'm familiar with.

For my experiments I'm bidding on an old "Connectix Color Parallel Quickcam". http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2054688904&ssPageName=ADME:B:BN:US:1

The ultimate goal is to take periodic shots of the waterfront of a sailing club. The PC will need to dial out on it's own, which leads me to another question. Are there any free ISPs out there that would work with Linux? I would think that total connect time per month would be pretty low.
