Video from a PC will look very bad on a TV. There are physical magnification screens which can be placed in front of the monitor. A large monitor might help, too. A 19" monitor is a reasonable size and price. I often use pico for text editing and occasionally pine for e-mail. Both are text-based and have simple key commands. Instead of magnification software, why not set X to a virtual low resolution? Everything will look big and the screen will follow the mouse, so it acts like magnification. Why use text-to-speech if the person can use text? The more specialized software that is used the more limited the options are. _________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug
