[PLUG] yellow dog sound

I just installed Yellow Dog Linux on my Mac G4 and I can't seem to get any 
sound.  I get the error message /temp/mcop-michael is not owned by user.  I 
tried changing the owner and group from root to michael and it still didn't 
do any good, so I changed it back.

Any suggestions?

PS-The sound card is the standard on board sound on the G4
